Project Highlight
PayPal commissioned us to create four testimonial stories featuring Sydney-based customers and their everyday use of PayPal products. Studio Hansa, the campaign directors aimed to highlight the convenience and reliability of PayPal’s service through real customer experiences.
As an Assistant Producer, my role was to support the production process, working closely with producer Jove Tyson to develop the creative deck, from refining the branded layout to crafting clear and compelling copy.
With the shoot based in Sydney and the production team travelling from the UK, I researched and identified suitable filming locations that aligned with the campaign’s vision within budget constraints. While the UK production team was en route I also managed all email communications, bridging the time zone gap.
Since we were working with real customers rather than hired actors I developed a detailed scheduling spreadsheet to track their availability preventing conflicts. I also sourced and the best SD and Teradek options for the crew, ensuring they had the right technical equipment.
I also reached out to Australian vendors to gather pricing and logistics for renting a LIVEU broadcasting unit, helping to streamline both budgeting and live production capabilities. Throughout the project, I provided hands-on support wherever needed from pre-production to final delivery.
The final testimonial videos were successfully featured on PayPal Australia’s official YouTube channel as part of their ‘Tips and Tricks’ series, delivered in both 16:9 master formats and 9:16 YouTube Shorts. The campaign effectively showcased PayPal’s role in everyday transactions.
